Types of Tuition

There are many types of tuition, the main being on-to-one, group and online tuition.

One-to-One tuition

GradTutors offer private tuition on an individual "one-to-one" basis, usually in the client's own home. The location is chosen by mutual agreement between client and tutor. Possible locations include client's own home, tutor's home, local library, or GradTutors' office. The benefit of tuition at the tutor's premisesr is that the tutor’s resources are close at hand which is both beneficial to the tutor and the client.

Group tuition

If the client arranges for more than one student to attend the lesson, then this is usually accepted by the tutor, with a small extra charge should the tutor request. The students ideally must require tuition in the same subject and the same level to get the most out the lesson.

GradTutors also runs regular classes in the evening, weekend during term time and during at other times of the year. Full details are provided on request.

Online tuition

We also offer online tuition where students are taught over the internet by use of chat programs (e.g. MSN messenger) and/or other communication devices e.g. phone, video chat. Special discounts apply to online tuition, please ask for further details.

It is usual for regular weekly tutorials to be arranged, however as each client’s needs are different there may be times when clients require more or less lessons per week.
